been a while since I posted, but had a lot going on, so here is something to tide you over till I can get things sorted out.... It was a beautiful day for taking some pictures and I had a couple of friends who were more than willing to dress up for me... lol. these are all original, so please enjoy.

well as I said it was a beautiful day, after pictures we went for a ride and then enjoyed some home made soup... thanks ladies.

So, I won't bore you with all the details, but I thought I scored a Hondamatic, just to have as a toy, maybe help my daughters and my wife learn to ride... blah blah blah. The guy brought it over to my house to drop it of and rolls this thing onto my driveway....

The pull start was in pieces, "I can't get this back together, I'll drop the price $50 if you still want it" he guaranteed me it ran, so eh I bought it. there was a Cerclip and the ratchet springs were missing, so I fixed it and within 15 minutes of the dude driving off I was tearing down the driveway and around the neighborhood. Actually it's fun to ride, it travels at a pretty good speed and handles beautifully.

After a little research I now know that what I have is a Kawasaki KZ305 chassis and an ATC200 motor, the headlight and tail light work, so I am hoping I can rig up blinkers and fix the brake light so I can get it registered and plated.

My oldest daughter and I are thinking maybe a cream white paint job, with a splash of color over pin striping, but we'll see. For what I paid, I could probably sell the back tire and recoup my money, so all in all, I am happy with this one.

flea mrkt/rummage finds

 So I had a couple bucks in my pocket last week, and went carousing at the local flea market after which I stopped at a rummage advertising "fishing and tools" I think I did pretty good. It never hurts to have an extra seat lying around and now I can get mine recovered.

 A set of bars, old luggage rack ( hmmm, Triumph Project), a beat up license plate mount and you can never have enough gun locks.

 

 I fell in love with these 1938 Chevy tail lights, he was selling them as a set, but as you can see the lenses don't match, I don't care, these are going on bike projects anyway.

 

miscellaneous tools, never owned drill bit stops, didn't make much sense to me, but at .25 cents each who could say no.

 

some sweet Craftsman chisels, the guy took care of his shit, good shape and sharp

 

doweling jig, in original box all parts present, damn I may have to take up wood working

  

fixture to hold corners together for framing and box making...

 

 and finally assorted taps, with tap wrench and a glass cutter

there was also a throttle cable and assembly for 7/8 bars, needed one so what a coincidence and other pieces, parts.... all and all I spent less than $75.00, so I call that a good weekend, now back to the projects...

Midland Swap Meet

 So, you would think up here in the great white north, with our short riding season, that a small business motorcycle parts store wouldn't be feasible, but I know a guy named Bubba, who shows that not only can this be done, but it can be done while helping the community also. Every year Bubba's raffles off a new motorcycle for Camp Fish Tales, which is a barrier free camp for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities and this year it is a new street glide.

The "gentleman" in the middle is Bubba, and like at all swap meets the Bubba kissing booth was open for business, I've personally never received a kiss from Bubba, but these customers seem happy.

I've personally ridden with Mr Cobb here and he is straight up and down home, not to mention his lady friend can really cook up a meal, thanks for having us over Cobb, rubber down and hope we can do this again some time.

but here are a few of my favorites from the show, attendance seemed pretty good, with lots of vender's and live music. The weather was good, not great, but not terrible either. take a look and enjoy.

 

 

Birthday

So my oldest turned 18 in March, and I snuck out before I woke her up and marked her car so the world would know....

she was not impressed, I love being a parent... bwahahahahah

I'm back...

Long story short, I updated my computer to Win 7 and then my camera work no more with this.......

So after much screwing around I rigged up a card reader out of an old HP computer and now I'm back in business. I won't bore you with all the minute details but, I replaced the head gaskets and still it over heated, during the scrapping process I found that the crank was effed up beyond repair, so I went and bought something else

it is nice, guess I'm just used to having a van now, so hope it grows on me. AAnnnndddd what happened to the van?

                               SCRAP TIME!!!!!

that's all for now, but I'm back and the weather is good and ridding season is upon us, so look for more stuff on a regular basis.
